It was a real joy to see 10-year-old Elise’s last swimming lesson with Jennifer before she moves on to join Swim Club. Elise started swimming with Puddle Ducks in May 2015, nearly 10 years ago. We remember it well as Elise and her family joined Puddle Ducks with their NCT group. They were such a lovely group we captured them in a photo! Back then, Tina was their swimming teacher, but more recently, Tina’s daughter Jennifer has been teaching Elise to swim! How lovely that the brilliant Byatt’s have seen Elise from baby to swim club together.
Jennifer said, "Elise has been an absolute dream to teach over the past few years! I remember when we came back to teaching after lockdown in 2020, when all the parents had to be in the water with their children for Swim Academy for social distancing purposes. Elise turned up with her dad. With him, she had no fear, and showed me from the start, how comfortable she could be in the water.
I couldn't believe how much she had developed when she came to my L5 class, not having seen her for a year or two, and looking back now, I was very lucky to gain such a natural swimmer to my class. Although you will learn lots of new things at swim club Elise, I hope all the distance swims, fun jumping activities, and lifesaving skills will pay off. Oh, and don't forget to practice your treading water!!!☺️"
Elise’s Dad Arthur said, “We were very lucky to find Puddle Ducks and to have Tina as Elise’s first teacher at just 6 months old. Your teachers and teaching methods are superb and have given Elise the confidence and inspiration to enjoy her swimming. It’s amazing how fast the time has gone but even more so that Elise’s final teacher at Puddle Ducks has been Tina’s daughter Jennifer, whom we met 10 years ago helping out at the Penny Porter pool in Henbury.”
Elise, we wish you all the very best at your new swim club, swimming two sessions per week. Thank you Elise’s mum and dad for swimming with us for these past 10 years. We’re so very grateful that you chose us, and very happy to see what a great swimmer Elise has become.
