Our North Somerset team have been celebrating this week, with three of their level 6 swimmers joining the graduation club!
Teacher Katie is feeling super proud of her graduates, “Keep going everyone you're amazing!”

Isabel has been swimming with Katie for over 5 years. Katie recalls in the early level 1 Swim Academy classes how nervous Isabel was and how she hated jumping into the pool.
Katie continues,
“It has been fantastic too see Isobel grow through the years, and how she has mastered each swimming level along the way. She has developed into one of the most graceful swimmers I have taught, her front crawl is beautiful to watch!”
Jack has been swimming with Puddle Ducks for 11 years, joining us at 4 months old as a little Floatie!
Jack has achieved so much, progressing through all the Puddle Ducks levels and moving into our Swim Academy programme in 2017, after achieving his 5m badge at age 4 in his Dippers class.
Katie recalls how Jack was one of her very first Swim Academy swimmers that she taught when she first started teaching back in 2017. She remembers how Jack and his mum were both quite nervous in the beginning, which we understand can be quite daunting to move from being in the water with your grown-up to swimming independently in Swim Academy.
Katie comments,
“Through the years I have taught Jack he has grown in confidence, and he graduates level 6 today with a great understanding of water safety and respect for the water, as well as being a super strong swimmer!”
Olivia joined Puddle Ducks only a few years ago, but has progressed through the Swim Academy programme with determination and a great attitude. In particular Katie mentions how much she loves diving activities in class – which Katie smiles and says "diving she really has mastered!"
Katie continues,
“Thank you Olivia for always turning up week-after-week with such a positive attitude and working extremely hard throughout your lessons. It is fantastic to see how much you have grown through the years and you have turned into such an elegant swimmer.”
