We caught up with Emma, one of our lovely customer care assistants to find out a little more about why she’s proud to be part of the Puddle Ducks family…
“I’ve been part of the customer care team since December 2021 and my life has certainly changed a lot since then. Working remotely, 8 hours per week, it was a perfect little extra job to fit into my weekdays alongside teaching swimming for Puddle Ducks, and teaching dancing at a local studio in the evenings and at weekends. My 2 children were in school during the week, so I had the time .
Around the same time as starting the customer care role, my husband and I had made the huge decision to relocate from Derby up to the North Yorkshire coast, based purely on the desire to live near the beach! We’d had enough of wishing we could and decided to make it happen. Things were uncertain for us both career wise but thanks to the flexibility of my role with Puddle Ducks and our franchisee, I was able to seamlessly carry on and have been answering your calls and emails from the North East since August 2022.
And as if relocating wasn’t enough, we also decided to start home educating our children to give our lives more freedom and flexibility and my job continues to fit into our new life really well”
Our team take a huge amount of pride in their work and what they do and it’s a huge part of finding job satisfaction and wellbeing at work. Sheryl Sandberg said: “Motivation comes from working on things we care about. It also comes from working with people we care about.” This is so true for the team at Puddle Ducks Derbyshire & Northwest Leicestershire – we all care so much about what we do for our swimmers and their families and the people we work with. We want to thank every single member of staff for their hard work and commitment to Puddle Ducks and to the amazing work they do for their little Puddle Ducks. We are so proud to be working with you all!
