As a Puddle Ducks baby and pre-school swimming teacher, laughter and bubbles will be your every day! Nurturing children’s swimming potential, you’ll be giving the gift of complete freedom and pleasure in the water, splash by splash.
It takes someone very special to become a baby and pre-school swimming teacher. You’ll be providing our students with a skill for life, possibly even saving lives as you equip them with water survival skills.
At Puddle Ducks, we are dedicated to delivering classes of the highest standards to our customers, with all of our programmes having been developed by swimming experts, based on the latest research. You’ll become an expert in the swimming field, benefitting from some of the most comprehensive training in the industry, working for a trailblazer in the marketplace.
What we’re looking for:
- Love of water and a love of children
- Passion to give babies the gift of complete freedom and pleasure in the water
- Commitment to spending several hours in a swimming pool, with training over several months
- Ability to swim 25m, with the confidence to dive to the bottom of a pool 2m deep
- Access to a car with a clean driving licence
- Willingness to offer occasional cover if required
- No previous swimming teaching experience as full training will be provided, however STA/ Swim England teaching and lifesaving qualifications would be beneficial
- Desire to achieve a rewarding career, filled with smiles and giggles!
- Available to work at least one day at the weekend

Baby & Pre-School Swimming Teacher
Various locations across Derbyshire & NW Leicestershire including Burton on Trent and Coalville
What you’ll be doing:
- Teaching babies and toddlers to swim in warm, hand-picked, premium pools
- Incorporating rhyme, music and movement based on extensive child development research into your classes
- Supporting parents with an unique bonding experience with their baby as they enjoy the water together
- Nurturing a love of swimming and a confidence in the water with babies and pre-schoolers aged from birth to 4 years old
- Enjoying flexible working around your commitments, with the opportunity to increase teaching hours as your classes build up, working at least one weekend day is essential.

Swim Academy Teacher
Various locations across Derbyshire & NW Leicestershire, including Burton on Trent and Coalville
We’re seeking someone full of enthusiasm to join our fantastic team, teaching our popular Swim Academy classes for school aged children, aged 4 – 10 years. A passion for water, swimming and working with children is a must-have.
This is a part time role, with the oppourtunity to build your hours as your classes grow, you must be available to work at least one day at the weekend.
We offer highly competitive rates of pay and excellent career progression. No previous teaching or professional swimming experience is required as full training is provided. We are here to support you with your training at every step along the way. You need to enjoy being in the water and able to swim, have a confident and friendly personality, be flexible and a team worker.
Becoming a swimming teacher for Puddle Ducks takes hard work and commitment, but brings huge job satisfaction and fits in brilliantly around family life and other work commitments.You will need to be willing to take the STA Safety Award for Teachers, and ASA/Swim England Level 2 certificate or STA Swimming Award qualifications prior to joining the business and undertaking further training.
