We can’t wait to welcome you to Puddle Ducks at the Holiday Inn Rotherham-Sheffield – in the meantime, here’s some information that we hope you will find useful.

Parking: Free and available in the hotel car park. ALL CAR REGISTRATION NUMBERS MUST BE REGISTERED ON ARRIVAL FOR FREE PARKING. PLEASE USE THE IPAD AT RECEPTION EACH VISIT TO AVOID A PARKING TICKET.
Essential information:
- ONLY ONE SPECTATOR PER CHILD PLEASE.
- Please refrain from snacks in the changing rooms so we can keep them as clean as possible. A café is provided on site for before or after your class. Only food and drink purchased in the on-site cafe is permitted (TOP TIP- the gym cafe is cheaper than the one in the other party of the hotel!)
- Outdoor shoes are not permitted poolside. Please remove all shoes at the entrance to the pool.
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy or one of our environmentally friendly NappyWraps & Liners underneath if your child is in Floaties, Splashers or Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained. Changing Rooms: There are two changing rooms, one for male and one for female changing. Please be courteous to other parents and don’t leave your belongings on benches when you are in the pool. Please use the lockers provided to keep your belongings safe.
Please try not to arrive more than 10 mins before the start of your class. Please arrive pool ready if you can to save time.
Please aim to vacate the changing area 15 minutes after your class has ended. This is particularly important if you attend the last class of the day as we need to vacate the premises 15 minutes after the classes have ended.
Exclusivity: Puddle Ducks use a sectioned- off area of the pool during hire periods so the pool can remain open to members during Puddle Ducks' sessions.
Access: Through the main hotel entrance. Turn right from reception and follow the corridor round to the health club. Exit is also through the building’s main entrance.
Showers: available in the changing rooms
Footwear: Please could all spectators remove footwear before entering the pool area so we can keep the pool as free from dirt as possible. Your cooperation with this is very much appreciated.
Technical Information:
- Pool Temperature: 29.7°C - 30.7°C . We recommend a baby warmer for babies aged up to 12 months old.
- Poolside Assistant: There is no poolside assistant at this pool due to there being an on-site team
- Depth: 1.4m throughout
- Maximum Class Ratios: 6 Children/adult pairs : 1 Teacher (Floaties, Splashers, Kickers, Little Dippers and Dippers)

We like to make life fun and easy for our Puddle Ducks customers, so here are some local places we think you and your children may like. You could even meet up before or after the class with your Puddle Ducks classmates.
Closest Café:
There is a café located on-site at the pool so you can unwind with a catch up with your class mates before or after your lesson! (TOP TIP- the gym cafe is cheaper than the one in the other party of the hotel!)

- Big Apple Play City: Play, party, explore and lots of fun!
Other Local Attractions:
- Magna Science Adventure Centre: If you've never visited, this is a vast building. There are four pavilions, which house over 100 hands-on exhibits themed on Air, Earth, Fire and Water, the ‘elements’ needed for making steel. The spectacular Big Melt Show re-creates the story of the steelworks and fabulous outdoor play facilities make for a great day out.
Magna is a coats-on experience, please wear clothes suitable for outside temperatures.
