Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester is delivered by husband and wife team Suzanne and Gary Horton. Here at Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester, we tailor a programme specifically for your baby or child; at their pace, within their comfort levels and adapted to how they might be feeling on the day.

Our classes are taught in lovely spacious pools with a maximum of ten children which allows our teachers the time to truly get to know your little one so we can set you on the perfect swimming journey. All of our lessons incorporate rhyme, music and movement with the focus being on fun so your little one can always feel reassured. This fun approach also promotes learning.

The water is an environment like no other, particularly in a baby’s first twelve months. It allows them to develop crucial higher brain functions, core muscle development and co-ordination far earlier than their non-swimming friends.

Swimming strengthens your baby's heart, lungs and respiratory system, which further aids brain development.

Healthy, regular exercise sets a strong foundation for an active childhood.

Direct eye and skin contact present a wonderful way to bond with your baby. You will also be able to interact and bond with other parents with children of a similar age.

As your baby experiences his or her first gentle submersion, this will present independence. Of course all of our classes are child led, no child will be forced to do an activity they do not want to do. Should your child not like to put their head into the water, your teacher will create a plan for you and your child so they can be eased into this activity.

Our lessons are so well received that the children we teach can often swim over 10 metres before they start school. More than that, its a unique opportunity for parents and grandparents to spend special bonding time with their little ones. A wonderfully social experience for both baby and adult!

Our Puddle Ducks classes are the PERFECT Christmas Gift and are available for children from birth - 10 years. Unlike most swimming schools, our classes can also be joined at any time, there is no need to wait for the next course of classes.
