Believe it or not, there are quite a few paddling pools and lidos in the Cheshire area, all of which offer families endless hours of fun over the summer months. Especially on a hot summer’s day!

Victoria Park Pavilion, Widnes
After Heritage Lottery funding, this has been restored to its former splendour (opened in 1900 to celebrate Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria). Amongst a whole host of facilities for families they have an interactive water feature open during the summer months!!
Marbury Pool, Northwich
This is a wonderful outdoor pool, with everything you could wish for a great family day out. With two diving boards, as well as a separate toddler’s splash pool, it caters for all ages. You are welcome to take your own inflatables and can stay all day if you desire.
Church Walk Paddling Pool, Northwich
Northwich have a great paddling pool next to the Church Walk Playground. Absolutely perfect for little one's on a hot summers day but don't brave it in all weather conditions as it is only open in good weather!
Sandy Lane Aqua Park, Chester
Nestled on the bank of the River Dee, a short drive from the city centre, this Aqua Park features 10 spray zones, operated by sensory touch pads including a water mushroom, a doorway and a couple of tunnels. And the best bit is it’s completely free!
Congleton Paddling Pool
This pool is absolutely perfect for babies and toddlers and is open to all children under 11 – it’s just like a giant paddling pool! It’s free to attend and has recently been renovated and there’s a lifeguard on duty at all times!
Nantwich Outdoor Brine Pool
One of the few remaining inland pools of its kind, it is hugely popular. It is also one of the largest pool’s in the area. Numbers are limited, so make sure you get there in good time, especially on a sunny day!
