This year, we hope to have the most successful Charity Pyjama Week ever! We are so excited to be holding this event again and for some of you it might be your first time. We have a national charity partner, a wonderful organisation called Children's Hospital Pyjamas. We emailed all our lovely customers about them earlier this month, but if you would like reminded about the wonderful work they do then you can read all about them and how you can support them here.
We are entering our third year of partnership with them, and we hope this will be the best one yet. The charity has an ever increasing demand placed on them from 248 venues all over the UK for PJ Packages, which consist of 92 pairs of PJs each! This is almost 23,000 pairs of PJs they need every year, and some venues need repeat deliveries!
How can you support our wonderful charity partner?
There are a number of ways to support the charity;
You can buy a pair of pyjamas online and send directly to your local Area Co-ordinator to donate to their annual appeal (they can only accept brand new pyjamas) . We are not able to accept pyjama donations at the pool though I am afraid.
Our preferred way to support the charity, is by a monetary donation and there are a number of ways:
- At your lessons - there will be a donation bucket at every lesson during Charity Pyjama Week.
- Just Giving - we have set up a Just Giving page here for our franchise and when Pyjama Week is over all donations will go straight to Children's Hospital Pyjamas - this page will be open until the 17th November 2024.
- Sponsor our team - The River Calder Challenge - our team are going to undertake a virtual swimming challenge to swim the distance of the River Calder during that week! This is 72km (or 72000m), this equates to approximately 2880 lengths of a 25m pool! Please show your support to our team by either sponsoring them at the pool or via our Just Giving page.
- Sponsorship - we'd love your little one to be sponsored for completing a personal survival lesson plan in their pyjamas. You can download a sponsorship form if you want to get started! Every child who raises sponsorship for their child, will go into a draw to win 10 FREE Puddle Ducks lessons within our franchise!!!
