Would your little one know what to do if they fell into the water?
Wouldn't you like your child to be able to kick to the surface and reach to the side?
All our Puddle Ducks classes have a water safety element to them every week. However during our special Pyjama Weeks we give all our little swimmers a chance to see what it might feel like to be in the water with their clothes on.
As most accidents happen while you’re fully clothed, wearing their pyjamas gives children a great indication of what this feels like.
At Puddle Ducks we focus and invest a substantial amount of class time to not just helping you and your child increase your levels of water confidence and develop basic swimming skills, but also to teaching you and your little one great water safety skills. Our lessons focus on personal survival skills (individuals learning to help themselves) and life-saving skills (learning how to help others in difficulty in the water).
During our Pyjama week, our lessons focus on giving your little ones the opportunity to see how it would feel to be in the water following an accidental submersion/fall into water. It helps them to realise that they will feel heavier, but that they can still swim fully clothed and will still be able to do the important life-saving manoeuvres like kicking to the surface and reaching for the side.
Here at Puddle Ducks Worcestershire we organise our Pyjama week 3 times a year in March, May and October. If you would like some more information or have any questions then please get in touch with our team on 01905 888346.
